Que1. What are the benefits of DNA Databases?


ANS1. DNA Database an effective crime fighting tool that allow criminal to be identified by his or her own genes.


• Computer analysis can discover the identity of a criminal by matching DNA from blood, hair, salive or other bodily fluids left at crime scene with DNA profile in a Database.


• So it would be easy for detective to find criminal through DNA Databases.


Que2. What problems do DNA Databases pose?


Ans2. There might be a well-founded reasons for an innocent person`s DNA to be at a crime scene that police might choose to disregard


• Innocent people may be got up in a criminal investigation, when the DNA from a single hair on a spot of saliva on a drinking glass appears in a public or private place where they had an every right to be.


• So that would be death-defying problem of DNA Databases by which innocent person`s could be convicted as a criminal.


Que3. Who should be included in a national DNA Database? Should it be limited to convicted felons? Explain your answer.


Ans3. It allows law enforcement officials to exchange & compare DNA profile at local, state & national levels


• DNA profiles are kept at forensic libraries around the country. All state, FBI & US army work with this system.


• Yes. It is more enough from DNA database to prove about felons, after proper investigation.


Que4. Who should be able to use DNA Databases?


Ans4. All Investigation agencies, Detectives who have rights, FBI, national officials & US army able to use DNA Database.
